Editorial Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026. NameForge publishes practical naming tools and guides for games, creators, brands, fantasy projects, pets, and related projects.
Original guidance
Our articles are written to help visitors make better naming decisions, not only to generate random words. Guides focus on clarity, pronunciation, memorability, audience fit, flexibility, and responsible pre-launch checks.
Examples are created to demonstrate trade-offs. They are not claims that a name, domain, social handle, company registration, or trademark is available. When a guide discusses a platform-specific context, the advice is framed as a practical test rather than a promise about ranking or performance.
Generator content
Generator pages include category-specific explanations, decision methods, mistakes to avoid, worked examples, checklists, and related resources. The site uses browser-side rules and curated word parts; it does not call an external AI API.
Review principles
- Pages should have a clear purpose and enough context to be useful without advertising.
- Navigation should make important pages easy to find from the header or footer.
- Generated names should be treated as creative starting points, not guaranteed available names.
- Policy pages should reflect how the site actually works at the time of publication.
How pages are reviewed
A guide should define a specific reader problem, provide a repeatable method, include realistic examples, describe common failure modes, and link to the next relevant check. Dates are updated when a material content review occurs, not for cosmetic changes alone.
Commercial independence
Advertising does not determine generated results, article conclusions, or the order of recommended checks. NameForge does not accept payment to present a generated name as safer, more memorable, or legally available.
Corrections and contact
If you find unclear guidance, broken navigation, or a page that should be improved, contact NameForge through the contact page. Material corrections are reflected in the public repository history.
